¶ The Collection has been organized and archived under the management of Dave Mihaly, a museum trained curator. Dave developed a new system of nomenclature for cataloging, classifying and filing ephemera, establishing 48 main categories and 265 sub-categories of ephemera. Each category is divided into 29 primary image themes, and 702 secondary and tertiary themes.
¶ We provide image research for projects ranging from a single request to an entire collection concept. We also develop product ideas for clients and write informative text that describes the images and interprets the time period. With more than 250,000 images, we have more than 250,000 ways to help you!
¶ We maintain databases of lithographic printing companies. Cigar box label databases have been established for George S. Harris (Philadelphia), and eight New York firms: American Lithographic Co., Heppenheimer & Maurer , Louis E. Neuman & Co., Schmidt & Co., Schumacher & Ettlinger, George Schlegel, O.L. Schwencke and Witsch & Schmitt.

DAVE MIHALY
¶ Dave Mihaly has been involved with museums and collections for more than twenty years.
Dave’s interest in material culture and his desire to learn about licensing a museum quality collection took him to California to work with The John Grossman Collection of Antique Images. As curator, he built, managed, interpreted and promoted the collection for use in product development, commercial licensing and research projects.
Dave is now Curator of Lithography & Graphic Arts at The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens in San Marino, California.
